Terms and Conditions of the Lending Library

- The maximum number of books or journals on loan at any time to any current club member is three (3).
- Non-club members may not borrow from the library.
- No books or journals will be dispatched without the payment and receipt/confirmation of payment, in advance, of the relevant borrowing fees (see table below).
- All books or journals on loan must be returned before any more books will be sent out.
- Borrowers may reserve books or journals if, at the time of request, they are out on loan. In this case, the Librarian will hold any titles back until initial borrower returns the items.
- If a borrower knows that they are going to be late in returning books or journals, they must let the Librarian know in advance.
- Fines of 50p per book per week will be charged if books or journals are not returned or the Librarian is not notified that the bookor journals will be late back.
- The Librarian can suspend, or withdraw, borrowing privileges for any borrower if they do not abide by these Terms and Conditions.
NB Borrowing rates were reviewed in July 2008 in light of postage charges increasing.

Please contact the Librarian for information on borrowing large books from the library
Please email the Librarian, stating the books you wish to borrow, giving your name and address as well, for convenience. She will confirm within a week that the books are available, or when they will be available.
Then please send a cheque or Postal Order (GBP Sterling made payable to the New Chalet Club) or pay through PayPal. Send cheques or Postal Orders to:
